Infants
6 weeks to 18 months
We provide a loving, responsive atmosphere and a caregiver your baby can bond with. A day in the infant room includes tummy time, baby signs, activities based on Rhode Island Early Learning Development Standards (RIELDS) as well as music and movement in a caring environment. We keep a low child to staff ratio to ensure plenty of individual attention for each infant.
Toddlers
18 months to 3 years
Our toddlers learn and grow in a language enriched environment. The children experience group play, music, center time based on the RIELDS, a short circle time and lots of movement including outdoor play. Most importantly, toddlers get to interact with other young children and experience hands on learning!
Preschool
3 to 5 years
The preschool/Pre-Kindergarten is taught by an early childhood certified teacher. Our morning includes center based learning activities, circle time, snack and outdoor play. Naptime is followed by a less structured afternoon. Our curriculum is designed to help children get along with others, follow basic classroom rules, become more independent and to foster their natural curiosity and desire to learn. Lesson plans are based on RIELDS and have a strong emphasis on pre-reading and early math skills. We have an intergenerational component that includes monthly visits to Regal Court (an elderly housing building on our street) where we sing, present skits or a circus, trick or treat or go caroling!
